MainSail Data, Inc. ("MainSail," "we," "us") is a Florida managed IT services and software company. This policy explains what information we collect through mainsaildata.com and through the internal tools and applications we operate, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you contact us, request a quote, or become a client, we collect details such as your name, company, email address, phone number, and the content of your messages.
- Website usage. Like most websites, our site and hosting providers may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time of your visit. We may use basic analytics to understand how the site is used.
- Client service data. When we provide managed IT, security, or software services, we may process information from client systems as needed to deliver those services. That processing is governed by our service agreement with each client.
How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to inquiries and provide our services;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and systems;
- send service-related communications;
- meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Google user data (MainSail internal applications)
Some MainSail internal applications, including "MainSail rclone," connect to Google services such as Google Drive. These applications are used only by MainSail to manage files in MainSail-owned Google accounts.
- What we access: files and folders in the MainSail-owned Google Drive account that the application is authorized to use.
- How we use it: only to store, retrieve, and organize MainSail's own business files (for example, reports generated by our internal systems).
- Sharing: we do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as required by law.
- Storage and security: access tokens are stored on MainSail-controlled systems with restricted access and are never published.
- Limited Use: MainSail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Revoking access: the account owner can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Sharing with service providers
We use trusted vendors (for example, hosting, email, cloud storage, and security providers) to operate our business. They may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services to us, under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet our contractual and legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. We then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to an IT and security provider. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you non-essential communications, by contacting us below. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
